Villa Val Vecchienna Carnia-Castelnuovo Val di Cecina The villa is located in Val Carnia, where Cerchiaio overlooking the lake, has suffered many vicissitudes in the course of time. Originally belonging to the nobles of evergreen oaks, passed in 1186 to the bishops of Volterra, who used it often as a refuge in disputes with Volterra, on several occasions, beginning as early as 1236, it was necessary the intervention of the pope to make peace between the canonical and the town, forced to risercire the prelate for the damage caused to the castle. Other damages were made in 1447 by the soldiers of the Duke of Milan and Alfonso of Aragon, on the ruins of the building until the bishops built their country house which remained owners until 1866, when it was purchased at auction by Francis Larderei. He is currently being advanced with a restructuring plan for agriculture and tourist facilities, thanks to the influence of the ancient lake known by the name of hot water and Albula and the proximity of a major facility Boracifero dependent Larderello.
